Void Protocol - Dev Blog 01




Hello, I'm Badders and this is my first blog post for Void Protocol. This is a passion project to attempt to recreate the engaging game-play of titles such as 'command and conquer' and 'star craft'. Alongside the RTS system is a set of bespoke music written for the game, which will be added to over time. This is all routed through FMOD. The SFX still need some work as they can only be heard in world space (meaning the camera needs to be close to the sound emitters, not great, I'll fix that).
I'm currently working on a save system, customizable maps with landscape hue variations, back-out checks for the pause menu and adding more UI icons. Also on my road map is a initial tutorial system.
The demo is set to a time limit of 20 minutes.
